Peterborough
4x4 club meet on the first Monday of the month, in the function room of
the Dog
In A Doublet Pub, North Side, on the B1040 between Thorney and
Whittlesey. Each meeting starts at around 8pm.
The club was founded in 1992 by a Land - Rover enthusiast who just wanted to get a group of like minded people together to enjoy their love of 4 wheel driving, to exchange spares, stories and to go out together in their vehicles. Since its formation, the Club membership has grown to between 40 and 50 members. This is a club that welcomes any kind of 4 wheel drive vehicle, and you would be welcome to join even if you do not yet own one, as passengers can usually be fitted in somewhere at all events. The club tries to arrange at least one event per month. These include Green Laning, Camping, RTV trials and an annual Hill Climb challenge. The competitive events are scored and the winner of each class is awarded a trophy. There are also social events such as barbecues and a Christmas meal. Please feel free to browse these pages to find out a little about the club, its members, and their vehicles. Useful names and numbers can be found in the Contacts section. News Flash: RTV4 has been changed to take place on 10/04/05. This is because of a clash with another club using the site on the same day. Meet at Sacrewell Layby 08:00
